Khalid Robinson, aged 19 is from El Paso, Texas. He actually shot the music video for 'Location', the song I am using there in his home town.

He is best known for this single, which has peaked at number 16 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and it has gone platinum.

In high school he studied singing and musical theatre, so he already had a musical background before he entered the industry.

In July 2016, Khalid reached number 2 on the Billboard Twitter Emerging Artists chart, and he began appearing on publications such as Yahoo, Buzzfeed and Billboard as an 'Artists you need to know'. He is signed to Right Hand, RCA Records and Columbia.

The music video got to over 6 million views in 4 months after premiering on 'The Fader', and it currently has over 55 million views. In the first week of Feburary 2017, Apple music named him it's new Artist of the week. 

He went on tour in the US from January-Febuary in 2017, and he sold out every venue. His debut album American Teen was released in March straight after.

Khalid has mentioned that some of his biggest musical inspirations have been his mother, Kendrick Lamar, A$AP Rocky, Frank ocean, Chance the rapper, India Arie and James Blake.

His first television debut performing 'Location' was on the tonight show starring Jimmy Fallon in march 2017 and his song 'Angels' was featured on a very well known drama series, 'Grey's Anatomy' on April 27th.

On his twitter page he has his album pinned at the top of his feed with the caption "March 3rd. my debut Album. The day my life changes forever."

His official website shows a still from the 'Location' video, and also shows that he really values the setting, his home town El Paso. 

It shows all the links to his social media and additionally has an option to sign-up for the newsletter so his fans can keep up to date with his work. 

Below that on the site, his newest music video 'American Teen" is shown, to advertise it further.

Then, his upcoming tour dates are shown with links to buy the tickets, in case anyone visiting his site decides to purchase some.

At the bottom of his site there is a link saying "Merch" which leads to his merchandise store, where you can buy clothing and accessories with his brand on them.

His Soundcloud follows the theme of his previous social media and has all of his music on there whilst promoting his album.

Lastly, his Instagram page shows his age and says where he is from. He is clearly proud of his hometown and roots and displays that in his music videos and social media. His tour is largely promoted on this page.
